 POSITION SUMMARY
The Configuration Specialist II performs the configurations code changes to the core applications and client projects configurations and workflow process as required using the written requirements and functional design documents to perform the required changes. This position will work closely with the Product Analyst team to develop the written requirements and functional design documents defining Savana’s Consumer and Mobile Banking applications. This position will provide product configuration support to development, quality assurance, implementation, and production support teams.

CORE COMPETENCIES
– Experience with basic SQL development. SQL Proficiency
– Experience with and basic knowledge of XML, HTML & CSS
– Experience with an .Net or C# Programing Languages
– Ability to read and follow Flow-charts/UML diagrams

– Business System Analyst experience a plus
– Banking Software knowledge a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:
– Providing product configuration of Savana software applications based on established best practices and templates.
– Ability to learn and understand complex product knowledge and solutions across several business lines.
– Developing an understanding of the Savana applications, building an ever-growing knowledge base of the system through project work and individual learning.
– Providing strong application expertise to support financial banking origination lifecycle software product development initiatives for large, high complexity projects.
– Be able to suggest compatible changes taking into consideration the customer needs and wants.
– Completing tasks within duration and effort commitments.
– Meeting as necessary with client users to validate design approaches.
– Applying an understanding of basic project management principles. Accurately completing project tasks on a timely basis. Estimating work efforts through a clear understanding of project priority and business purpose, and proactively working to communicate, reduce, or mitigate project risks and issues.
– Supporting efforts to ensure that the final application supports the business need to avoid re-work after being turned over to the client.
– Providing support to development, quality assurance, implementation and client production support teams on an as needed basis.
– Troubleshooting unexpected circumstances.
– Demonstrating effective problem solving for various challenges – effectively articulating both the problem and its solution.
– Providing new and innovative alternative solutions to system challenges.
– Providing input to support estimation of work efforts.
– Effectively communicating with internal and external teams.

– Execute system validation testing on an as needed basis.

EDUCATION
– A Bachelor’s Degree is required (Business or IT degree is preferred)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
– CSQA or CSTE certification a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
– Experience with information technology, systems analysis and business applications is required.
– Candidate must possess understanding of the software development lifecycle process.
– Proficiency with latest OS, Microsoft Office products, Defect Tracking Tools, JIRA, Confluence, interface integrations.
– Understanding of API structures; proficiency with Swagger and Postman a plus.
– A workflow/doc mgmt. background. Banking background helpful.
– BPM/Workflow software experience is preferred.
